Angela’s Bio

Angela (Angie) has worked in higher education administration for the past 20 years and is currently an adjunct instructor teaching leadership studies at East Carolina University and career development and ethics at Beaufort County Community College. She enjoys helping students tap into their potential, preparing them for leadership in the workforce. Angie is eager to start a new counseling career in a therapeutic role.

As a currently supervised counseling intern, Angie is dedicated to providing a holistic approach to helping individuals, couples, and families improve their overall wellbeing and wholeness. Angie is committed to helping clients reach emotional, physical, spiritual, and social wellness through Reality/Choice Therapy with exploration into meaning, purpose, and existence. Angie works to build a trusting environment for clients to feel safe to explore their path to healing. Angie is interested in working with diverse people of all ages from various walks of life and backgrounds. Angie is specifically interested in working clients who are weary and heavy-ladened, dealing with anxiety/depression, trauma, PTSD, life transitions, grief, spirituality, relationship issues and other mental disorders.

Angela is working in her final year at Liberty University in the Master of Clinical Mental Health with an intended graduation for fall 2025. Angie is committed to continued learning, acquiring multiple certifications in specific therapeutic techniques to help people through trauma such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Angie has been married to her husband for 24 years with three sons. In her free time, she enjoys serving at her local church, gardening, tending to farm animals, gaming, and spending time with family and friends.
